I know that as time permits, Karen will want to introduce this CD and what it has meant to them. In the meantime, let me share some of what transpired before Karen knew anything about the CD :-)

While waiting on the arrival of Callaway, mother began thinking how fun it would be to create a CD in honor of Callaway. As she sat down at the keyboard, "Callaway's Song" evolved. Then she would start playing other children's songs, which would prompt me to say, "Oh---You've GOT to include "I'm a Little Teapot" and "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star"--those are Karen's favorites!

And so it kept growing as we thought of various children's songs to add to the collection. Some, as the title indicates, are classical selections. I remember mom playing the "Flight of the Bumble Bee" as the three of us little girls would twirl in circles as fast as we could until the song ended (many times resulting in upset bellies!)

"The Sound of Music" was always one of our favorite musicals that we could watch year after year. The Sunday School Medley brings back many memories of younger days in Sunday School and summer Bible School. Then, of course, the Disney Delights came to an end much too soon as it was difficult for mother to choose which ones to include.

All in all, I'm really proud of the collection of songs that she has chosen and what an honor it is to say, "Our mom made this CD!" We all hope that the music brings you pleasant memories and a peaceful respit from your hurried schedules.
